128 AnotherPlace, Formby

Since we were here last, the cafe has gone and excercise machines have appeared. Quite approprite i thought but not possible to use during the storm conditions in Feb-14. Again no restrictions signage and in front of the Coast Gurad station would be my prefered location for an overnight.

127 Wallesley Marina

With the Marina, Fort & Sea on one side and the town on the other, this is an excellent location. Again and surprisingly, no restrictions were on any signs.

126 Wallesle Life Guard Post

Small parking area at the end and otherwise along side the sea wall. No restrictions.

125 Lesowe Rd

Once again no restrictions signage, lots of dog walkers and a container cafe at the entrance.

124 Meols Marina

At the end of the North Parade is a small boatyard, Marina with no parking restrictions.

123 Caldy South Parade

Taken from the 'Marine Walk', no restrictions but very popular parking on the Parade. The tide comes in quickly so dont get your feet wet on the board walk

122 Wirral Country Park

At the end of a lane is the coastal car park and visitor centre on the old railway line running along the south side. Great place for a day stop, walk and bike ride but i wouldn't risk overnight or leaving the Vivo too long without the alarm switched on. Well used by dog walkers and school trips.

Saturday 8 February 2014

121-Telegraph Rd, Wirral

Telegraph Rd, running alongside south of the Wirral Pennisular, this Pic Nic area on the rise had no restrictive signs etc and was a haven for walkers and dog owners. We didn't o-nite this visit but it seems ideal.

120 Wirral

We only found 2 CLs on the Wirral, maybe that's why there were none of the usual signs, no overnight, no campers, restricted hours etc. We elected the CCC one which had great facilities and withing bike ride of Upton Station.

119 Neston (Wirral)

Overlooking the Dee Estuary and North Wales Coast, this road side lay by was very popular with RSPB watchers

118 Bedford

Found this MCC CL on the outskirts of town, not within walk, bike or anywhere near bus. Has all the facilities and not expensive

117 Brugge

We were not certain we would find any foc overnight parking in Brugge, possibly the most visited city in the Flanders so decided on a campsite. This one was nearest and just outside the ring road. Not cheap, as you'd expect, well organised and owner lives on site. You can park at the entrance if you are leaving or arriving outside of 'gate' times.

the Site

Parked at the gate due to 3am departure for the ferry

116 Ghent

Quite by contrast, Ghent is certainly a marvellous city to visit but the SP, next to the ring road, is quite noisy. There are no facilities but it's free and close to the bus and trams which quickly get you into the centre.

115 Harelbeke

Owned by the town and opposite the sports facilities is this small and tidy foc SP. Harelbeke has got most things you need but not the most picturesque town in Flanders

114 Inden (near Aachen) Park

A little further up the hill is the play park where there are 4 spaces for Motor homes and a cafe/bar. I imagine in summer it is very busy and noisy.

113 Inden (near Aachen) GS

Through the village on on the right opposite a sports field is a fellow Motorhomer who owns and runs a restaurant and hotel. Overnite is allowed on the parking but you are expected to dine. The food is very good but not inexpensive.
